Spider-Man: Far From Home star reacts to staying in the MCU

October 3, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned in Spider-Man: Far From Home, has reacted to the news that Spidey will be staying in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

There were a lot of very happy people upon hearing that Spider-Man will be continuing in the MCU thanks to a new agreement between Sony and Disney. But what does the cast think of this news?

Well, in a recent interview with Comic Book Movie, star Jacob Batalon, who plays Peter’s friend Ned, offered his thoughts on the recent developments when asked how he feels about it all: “It’s been good, man, it’s been good. I feel like we were really prepared to just move on with Sony and now, we’re just happy to be working with Marvel again. Honestly just happy to be making another movie.”

Batalon also added the following when asked what the last month had been like with Spidey seemingly leaving the MCU: “I think, really, we have no say on that side of it. We don’t really have that sort of investment, like the producers do, and really, it’s just business. I feel like we were just continuing on with what we had to do. We were all pretty surprised by the split, but we were all still ready to go with wherever the franchise went next – and then this happened today, so it’s amazing.”
