Spider-Man: No Way Home concept art pits Doctor Strange against Mysterio

While Spider-Man: No Way Home ultimately fell one villain short of a Sinister Six, screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers revealed recently that both Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Rhino (Paul Giamatti) were indeed considered as a potential sixth member of the supervillain team, and now we have a look at some unused concept art which sees the former battling Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange during the film’s climactic Statue of Liberty showdown. For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero.
