Stephen Graham cast in Peaky Blinders series 6

April 26, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Having worked with the show’s creator on the recent BBC adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, actor Stephen Graham has announced that he’ll be reuniting with Steven Knight on the sixth series of his period crime drama Peaky Blinders.

“I was supposed to be starting Peaky Blinders but that has been put on hold indefinitely,” said Graham during an appearance on the Pound for Pound podcast. “My agent spent a lot of time putting that together.”

The casting news follows a recent posting from star Cillian Murphy on the official Peaky Blinders Instagram account, where the actor discussed the shutdown and offered his thanks to the show’s crew for their patience during the hiatus:

The sixth series of Peaky Blinders was expected to air on the BBC later this year, although it would seem likely as this point that fans will be facing a delay due to the global health crisis which could well push it into 2021.
