Syberia Remastered brings the classic to modern consoles and PC

November 7, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Microids and Virtuallyz Gaming have announced the launch of Syberia Remastered on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. This stunning remastering of Benoît Sokal’s world will have players join Kate Walker and automaton Oscar as they pursue the brilliant inventor Hans Voralberg. Watch the launch trailer below….

Remaining faithful to the original 20-year-old title, Syberia Remastered has had a visual overhaul and redesigned gameplay, while preserving all the narrative depth and artistic beauty that made the original so popular with gamers. This modernised version will allow gamers both old and new to discover the iconic locations and unforgettable characters as they follow the same captivating story.

Players will follow Kate Walker, a New York lawyer sent to a remote village in the French Alps to finish the paperwork for the sale of an old automaton factory. However, this seemingly normal assignment soon takes her on an extraordinary journey across the snow-covered landscape of Eastern Europe. Accompanied by a very unique automaton named Oscar, Kate will follow the trail of genius inventor Hans Voralberg as he seeks out the last living mammoths on the mythical island of Syberia.

On their journey, Kate and Oscar will discover mysterious and forgotten places and meet a variety of interesting and eccentric characters,

Syberia Remastered is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. A Quest 3 version will be released on 13th November.
