The Bus available now on Steam Early Access

March 31, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Aerosoft and developer TML Studios have announced the launch of The Bus on Steam Early Access.  This latest title in their roster of simulation games wakes players to the stunning city of Berlin with its virtual re-creation of landmarks and hotspots.  Don’t risk the fine of going on holiday, tour Berlin as a bus driver!

In The Bus take on the role of being a bus driver and carry out all those tasks associated with this profession, including boarding and deboarding of passengers, edit routes and timetables and manage ticket sales.

There’s a robust weather system to experience with a variety of conditions from sleet to sunshine plus there’s a day and night cycle so you can flick on the lights and take in the photo-realistic scenery of Berlin by night.

You aren’t the only driver in this busy city, the roads are filled with realistic traffic that will switch lanes, make turns and do all the things you’d expect road users to do in the real world and all this helps create more immersive gameplay.

Featuring:

  • Take your passengers to some of the city’s most famous hotspots and tourist attractions, including Potsdamer Platz and Tiergarten.
  • Three different game modes including Realistic Campaign, Arcade and Custom.  These are ideal for all, from sim enthusiasts to those new to the genre.
  • Snap your own shots of the tourist attractions.
  • AI-controlled vehicles, pedestrians and traffic lights for added realism.

The developers have planned a multi-phase rollout with more features arriving in future updates, these will include a multiplayer mode, more routes, new bus lines and bus models.  There will also be the addition of extensive modding tools and a deep economic system further down the line.

“With The Bus, we want to provide a realistic driving simulator with a level of depth, polish, and freedom not found in similar titles,” said Winfried Diekmann, CEO of Aerosoft. “TML Studios have done an incredible job in realizing their version of Berlin, and we can’t wait for players to hop into the driver’s seat and start exploring the rich world TML has created!”

“The Bus will tick all the boxes for hardcore sim fans looking for a detailed, immersive bus driving simulator, yet is a great jumping-on point for newcomers looking to experience the genre for the first time,” said Thomas Langelotz, CEO of TML Studios. “We’ve made a game with a deep and robust set of systems that will keep players with their hands on the wheel and their eyes on the beautifully rendered road ahead.”

The Bus is available now on Steam Early Access.
