Third phase of Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw event series starts on CSR Racing 2

August 15, 2019 by Andrew Newton

The third phase in the series of special in-game events based off Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw for CSR Racing 2 is now live.  Titled Hattie’s Folly, this latest event gives players the opportunity to sit in the driver’s seat of the all new Veilside Mazda RX-7 and take part in a 75 race ladder with characters from the film.

Thanks to the collaboration between Zynga, Universal Games and Digital Platforms, players will be able to participate in a huge 75 race ladder divided into five phases which concludes in October with an exclusive event for the Toyota Supra Aerotop, including a 30 race ladder with a leaderboard.

During these events players will have the opportunity to race in a number of epic cars such as the Toyota Supra Aerotop, Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34 NISMO S-tune), Veilside Nissan Fairlady Z and Veilside Mazda RX-7.  There will also be a variety of fan-favourite characters from the film making an appearance, including Luke Hobbs, Deckard Shaw and MI:6 agent Hattie Shaw, and players will be able to choose a side between Hobbs or Shaw.

CSR Racing 2 is available to download for free from Google Play and the App Store.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw stars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham and has grossed $332.6M globally to date in cinemas.

Ever since hulking lawman Hobbs (Johnson), a loyal agent of America’s Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Statham), a former British military elite operative, first faced off in 2015’s Furious 7, the duo have swapped smack talk and body blows as they’ve tried to take each other down.

But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever — and bests a brilliant and fearless rogue MI6 agent (The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby), who just happens to be Shaw’s sister — these two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves.

Hobbs & Shaw blasts open a new door in the Fast universe as it hurtles action across the globe, from Los Angeles to London and from the toxic wasteland of Chernobyl to the lush beauty of Samoa.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Deadpool 2) sees the return of Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw) and Helen Mirren (Magdalene Shaw) alongside franchise newcomers Idris Elba (Luther), Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible – Fallout), Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan), and Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver).
