THQ Nordic announces new titles including South Park: Snow Day, TMNT: The Last Ronin and more

August 13, 2023 by Andrew Newton

THQ Nordic’s Digital Showcase 2023 has come to an end but there’s been a huge amount of news released about the wide array of games coming to gamers.  If you haven’t been following the showcase then here’s a quick catch-up on some of the bigger titles mentioned…

Titan Quest II will be making its return to once again immerse players in the myths and legends of ancient Greece.  Players will master different skills, seek out exquisite treasures and face unimaginable challenges as they set out to defeat Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution.

This epic odyssey is currently in development by German-based developer, Grimlore Games, and will launch exclusively on PC.  Titan Quest II is available to wishlist now on Steam.

Gothic Remake is another title currently in development and is a remake of the classic 2001 game.  This action RPG follows a nameless hero, a convicted convict, who must turn their life around and survive against wild animals, monstrous creatures and equally dangerous convicts in the Khorinis mines.

Gamers on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 5 will be able to enjoy Gothic Remake when it releases in the near future.

South Park: Snow Day is a 4 player co-op game that follows Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny as they fight their way through the snowy streets of South Park on a quest to save the world.  Join these heroic school kids as they try to enjoy their day off from school in glorious 3D.

South Park: Snow Day will release on  PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch in 2024.

Coming soon to Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 5 and PC is Outcast – A New Beginning.  This upcoming sequel to the 1999 classic Outcast reunites players with ex-Navy SEAL Cutter Slade as he jumps into action to save the people of Adelpha and liberate them from the invaders.  As Cutter, forge alliances, gain powerful abilities and effectively use his jet pack to defeat the robotic invaders and free the planet and its people.

Space for Sale takes players to a distant planet that is home to strange and exotic flora and fauna.  It’s an ideal place to make a fortune as an intergalactic property developer and as such a person, it is the players task to build habitats for eccentric alien clients.

If you’re eager to be one of the first to start developing this paradise then sign up for the closed beta here.  Space for Sale will be coming to Steam in the near future.

I think the highlight for most people watching the showcase was the reveal of TMNT: The Last Ronin.  This official video game adaptation of the best-selling comic book of the same name (by Eastman, Waltz, Bishop, Delgado and the Escorza Brothers) takes players to a future, battle-ravaged New York City where they will follow a lone surviving Turtle as he sets out on a very personal (and seemingly hopeless) mission to get justice for the family that was taken from him.

TMNT: The Last Ronin will be coming to PC, Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 5.
