August 28, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its theatrical release this week, a trailer has arrived online for Zombie Town, the upcoming adaptation of R.L. Stine’s 2012 novel of the same name from director Peter Lepeniotis.

The family comedy horror follows teens Amy (Madi Monroe) and Mike (Marlon Kazadi) as they seek the help of an infamous filmmaker (Dan Akroyd) who he is screening his first film in three decades in their local theatre after they watch a cursed film reel which turns the citizens of their small town into hungry zombies.

Amy (Madi Monroe) and Mike (Marlon Kazadi) uncover a centuries-old secret when they decide to watch an exclusive film reel. Before they know it, their town has been turned to the undead before their eyes. The duo must track down an infamous filmmaker (Dan Akroyd) and navigate a town of hungry zombies to break the curse before it’s too late.

Joining Madi Monroe, Marlon Kazadi and Dan Akroyd in the cast are Chevy Chase, Henry Czerny, Scott Thompson, and Bruce McCulloch.
