After shutting down production on Fast & Furious 7 in the wake of Paul Walker’s tragic death, it’s now been announced that Universal Pictures is looking to honour the late star with a fitting send-off in the seventh instalment of the blockbuster franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter Chris Morgan is currently revising the script with a view to incorporating footage previously shot with Walker whilst enabling the studio to retire his character Brian O’Connor.
At present Universal is looking towards a January restart for the James Wan-directed sequel, which also stars the likes of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez, although it has aborted its plans for a release date of July 11th 2014.
