Video Review – Deadpool & Wolverine: The Good, The Bad, The Cameos

July 24, 2024 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno breaks down Deadpool & Wolverine…

Deadpool & Wolverine is here to close off the Marvel Fox universe and introduce the Merc with a Mouth into the Marvel Studios. Sadly, Deadpool’s entrance into the MCU gets the welcome gift of lackluster villains and wonky VFX.

With the film having some outlandish humor, gnarly violence, and some top-tier cameos, Deadpool & Wolverine can carry itself to a solid Marvel movie in a time when those are rare. Join critic EJ Moreno for a look at the good, the bad, and how the cameos pay off…

“Wolverine is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth, Deadpool. They team up to defeat a common enemy.”

Deadpool & Wolverine is directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy) and stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman alongside Fox/Marvel veterans Jennifer Garner (Elektra), Stefan Kapacic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio), Lewis Tan (Shatterstar), Rob Delaney (Peter), Aaron Stanford (Pyro), and Tyler Mane (Sabretooth) with new additions including Matthew Macfadyen (Succession) as Paradox and Emma Corrin (The Crown) as Cassandra Nova.

Deadpool & Wolverine is set for release on July 26th.
