Warner Bros. Animation announces Justice League: War

July 16, 2013 by admin

We had an inkling that Warner Bros. Animation was set to follow up the forthcoming Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox with Justice League: War, seeing as the box art for The Flashpoint Paradox revealed that a special sneak peek would be included as a bonus feature.

Well, now its official, with WB’s Gary Miereanu announcing via Twitter that War will be the not only the first DC Universe Animated Original Movie of 2014, but also the first to adapt a storyline from DC’s New 52.

The storyline for Justice League: War will be based upon the first story arc of Geoff Johns’ and Jim Lee’s Justice League series, detailing the formation of the League to repel an invasion of Earth by Darkseid and the forces of Apokolips.

Further details about the animated adaptation are sketchy as this point in time although Miereanu has also offered our first piece of casting news, revealing that Jason O’Mara (Resident Evil: Apocalypse) will lend his voice to Batman.
