Warner Bros. announces DC movie slate through to 2020, Ezra Miller to play The Flash

October 15, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Following the huge news from Marvel Studios this week, with Robert Downey Jr. set to join the cast of Captain America 3, kicking off a Civil War adaptation, Warner Bros. has now dropped its own piece of massive DC movie news, revealing its full line-up of superhero offerings set to follow Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!

And that’s not all, as it has also been revealed that Ezra Miller (We Need to Talk About Kevin, The Perks of Being a Wallflower) has been cast as the big screen version of The Flash, while Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Conan the Barbarian) has finally been confirmed as Aquaman.

Here’s the full schedule of DC movies slated to arrive between 2016 and 2020:

  • March 25th, 2016: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
  • August 5th, 2016: Suicide Squad (directed by David Ayer)
  • June 23rd, 2017: Wonder Woman (starring Gal Gadot)
  • November 17th, 2017: Justice League Part One (directed by Zack Snyderstarring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Amy Adams)
  • March 23rd, 2018: The Flash (starring Ezra Miller)
  • July 27th, 2018: Aquaman (starring Jason Momoa)
  • April 5th, 2019: Shazam (starring Dwayne Johnson)
  • June 14th, 2019: Justice League Part Two (directed by Zack Snyder)
  • April 3rd, 2020: Cyborg (starring Ray Fisher)
  • June 19th, 2020: Green Lantern

We can of course assume that Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa will reprise their roles for at least one of the two Justice League movies.

UPDATE: It’s also been revealed that solo movies for Batman and Superman are in the works, and although dates are yet to be confirmed, it’s said that both will land some time between 2016 and 2020. And of course, we also have Warner Bros.’ LEGO Batman animated movie too, which is expected in 2017.

So, what do you make of this DC schedule? How does it stack up to what we know of Marvel’s Phase Three plans? Let us know your thoughts…
