Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and IO Interactive announce Hitman 2

June 10, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and indie developer IO Interactive have announced that they will be releasing Hitman 2, the follow up to the smash game Hitman, for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on 13th November.  A new announcement trailer has been released and can be viewed below…

As with its predecesor, Hitman 2 will take players on an exciting journey around the world as Agent 47 as he takes out high profile targets.  Players will travel to a mix of bustling locations including the sun drenched streets of Miami and the humid green rainforests as Agent 47 hunts down the elusive Shadow Client and his militia.

A new Sniper Assassin Mode has been introduced to the series providing a new online multiplayer feature that will allow two players to work together to take down their targets although this mode can also be played solo.

“We are thrilled to partner with IO Interactive on Hitman 2 and bring the latest game in this iconic franchise to the passionate Hitman fanbase and new players,” said David Haddad, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “IO Interactive has done a fantastic job with the Hitman franchise, and this new game will provide a distinct gameplay experience for players to be creative in larger sandbox locations.”

“We are very proud to announce Hitman 2 as the next exciting chapter in our ever-expanding world of assassination. Building on the success of our previous game, Hitman 2 introduces exciting new features, new modes and franchise firsts to make for a larger and richer game,” said Hakan Abrak, CEO, IO Interactive. “We couldn’t have wished for a better partner than Warner Bros. to bring this game to our passionate community and introduce new players to our universe. Welcome back 47!”

Hitman 2 is available to pre-order now in Standard Edition, A Gold Edition can be ordered exclusively at Game and a Collector’s Edition will be available to pre-order soon.  All who pre-order will be able to access the Sniper Assassin Mode straight away.

Look out for Hitman 2 coming this November.
