Description of Wonder Woman 1984 footage shown at CinemaCon

April 3, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

In addition to the Margot Robbie-headlined Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), Warner Bros. and DC Films also unveiled some new footage from its fellow 2020 DCEU release Wonder Woman 1984 during its presentation at CinemaCon yesterday, and thanks to Comic Book, we’ve got a brief description what was included in the sizzle reel:

“Wonder Woman jumps across a street. ‘Diana is now at her full powers,’ Wonder Woman 84 director Patty Jenkins says in the sizzle reel. “Diana walks in front of the Washington Monument cuddling with Steve Trevor. She whips her lasso in a mall. Her colleague becomes her nemesis in the form of Cheetah. It ends with a shot of her jetting down a street at super speed.”

Wonder Woman 1984 sees Gal Gadot once again leading the cast as Diana Prince alongside the returning Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Ewen Bremner (Charlie), Said Taghmaoui (Sameer), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe), Doutzen Kroes (Venelia) and new additions Kristen Wiig (Ghostbusters) as Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones), Natasha Rothwell (Love, Simon), Ravi Patel (Master of None, Grandfathered) and Gabriella Wilde (Doctor Who, Poldark) in an as-yet-unrevealed roles. It is set for release on June 5th 2020.
