Xbox Games with Gold for October 2021 brings vampires, zombies and parkour

September 30, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Gold subscribers on Xbox are set for a month of Action and horror this October with four new games that will be available throughout the month.  Read on more for info….

Throughout October gamers will be able to download and play Aaero.  This rhythm action rail shooter game will have players speeding through a variety of stunning alien environments in a spaceship, tracing along ribbons of light and energy while shooting down numerous alien foes and epic bosses.  If you like electronic dance music then Aaero features a full electronic dance soundtrack that matches the action near enough perfectly.

Also available from the 1st October is the platform adventure Castlevania: Harmony of Despair and has players hunting down a cursed book known as the Grimoire.  This Grimoire records the history of the castle and brings to life its previous incarnations, including its heroes.  Players will be able to choose from numerous heroes to play as, including Alucard, Soma Cruz, Jonathan Morris, Shanoa and Charlotte Aulin, and use their abilities to progress.

From 16th October, players will be able to download the fast-paced single and multiplayer Parkour game Hover.  Players take charge of a team of young rebels (known as the Gamers) and fight against the anti-leisure laws imposed by the Hover City authorities.  Players will be able to explore a huge, futuristic city, use high tech gear which allow for amazing speed and jumps, and help various citizens in order to find their way to the Orbital Station.

Hover gives players access to a simple editor tool that they can use to create their own missions and challenges.

Finally for October is Resident Evil Code: Veronica X.  This terrifying chapter in the Resident Evil series sees Claire Redfield searching for her brother Chris Redfield.  Her search takes her to more locations run by the insidious Umbrella Corporation where she will have to avoid or destroy flesh-eating zombies and horrific beasts.  Players will need to scavenge for weapons, ammo and health items as they explore the Rockfort Island facility and the freezing Antarctic Base for evidence that they can use to expose this evil company.
