Zack Snyder fans to launch website as part of Justice League director’s cut campaign

December 27, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Last month, a petition was launched lobbying Warner Bros. to release a Zack Snyder director’s cut of this year’s DC blockbuster Justice League, which went on to attract almost 165,000 signatures from the filmmaker’s fan base.

The petition called for Snyder’s cut of Justice League to accompany the movie’s home-entertainment release, and with that not happening, it appears that the campaign is about to step up another gear.

If you head over to the website ForSnyderCut.org, you’ll notice an image of the director, along with a clock counting down to the launch of said website. While it’s unclear what exactly this relates to, the URL of the site gives us a pretty good indication as to its mission statement.

Snyder of course was forced to step away from Justice League due to the tragic death of his daughter, with Joss Whedon then coming in to complete the project, overseeing extensive reshoots, as well as post-production.

Conflicting rumours have since been doing the rounds as to whether a Snyder cut of Justice League even exists, while the likes of cinematographer Fabian Wagner and Steppenwolf actor Ciaran Hinds have reportedly lent their support to the calls for Snyder’s original vision to see a release.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League reunites Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and Robin Wright as General Antiope alongside J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard (The Danish Girl) as Mera and Ciaran Hinds (Game of Thrones) as Steppenwolf.
