With Ben Affleck currently on the promotional rounds for David Fincher’s Gone Girl, we can expect the actor to be inundated with questions about his upcoming role as The Dark Knight in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the Boston Globe has already managed to grab a few of his thoughts about the big DC ensemble…
“I can tell you that I’m very excited and it’s very exciting. I can tell you that in my entire career, I haven’t had so many people come up to me and say how much they’re looking forward to the movie. Naturally, that’s a lot of pressure, but I love the script, I love the director, I love the studio. I’m very much looking forward to it, but it’s two years away so it probably doesn’t bear talking about anymore.”
So, based on those comments, don’t expect to get much more insight into Batman v Superman from Affleck this week…
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016 with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
