Good news for fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as Deadline has revealed that ABC has given an early renewal to the Marvel series, which will return for a fourth season later this year.
S.H.I.E.L.D. is one of fifteen series renewed by ABC, alongside Grey’s Anatomy, Quantico, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Once Upon a Time, Fresh off the Boat, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, Black-ish, The Middle, Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor, Shark Tank and American’s Funniest Home Videos.
As yet, there’s no word on whether Agent Carter will be renewed for a third season. There has been speculation that the show will be cancelled due to low ratings, and the news that Hayley Atwell has signed on for another ABC pilot, Conviction.
