About Flickering Myth

Flickering Myth is an independent film and pop culture media brand combining editorial coverage with real-world filmmaking and industry experience.

Founded in 2009 by Gary Collinson, Flickering Myth is an online entertainment publication covering film, television and genre culture. The site publishes news, reviews, interviews, features and opinion pieces, and has grown into one of the UK’s longest-running film and entertainment websites, reaching a global audience of more than 150 million visitors since its inception.

Alongside its editorial work, Flickering Myth is also home to Flickering Myth Films, a production arm focussed on developing and producing commercially orientated feature films for international audiences.

Gary Collinson – Editor-in-Chief, Producer

Gary Collinson is the Editor-in-Chief of Flickering Myth and a film and television writer and producer. As the founder of the site, he has overseen its growth into one of the UK’s longest-running film and entertainment publications. His producing credits include the gothic horror feature The Baby in the Basket, suspense thriller Death Among the Pines, and horror franchise reboot Robert Returns. With over 20 years of industry experience, including a decade teaching film and media, he is also the author of Holy Franchise, Batman! Bringing the Caped Crusader to the Screen.

Amie Cranswick – Executive Editor

Amie Cranswick is the Executive Editor of Flickering Myth, where she oversees the site’s editorial output across film, television and pop culture coverage. A member of the management team for over a decade, Amie has played a key role in the publication’s growth, helping to shape its voice, standards and day-to-day editorial direction. With a background in publishing and copyediting, she brings extensive experience in content development, editorial management and quality control.

Tom Jolliffe – Senior Staff Writer & Producer, Flickering Myth Films

Tom Jolliffe is Senior Staff Writer at Flickering Myth and Writer and Producer at Flickering Myth Films. A prolific screenwriter and producer, his credits include Renegades, Cinderella’s Revenge, and War of the Worlds: The Attack, along with Flickering Myth Films’ The Baby in the Basket and Death Among the Pines. He contributes long-form features and analysis.

Robert Kojder – Chief Film Critic

Robert Kojder is Flickering Myth’s Chief Film Critic. He is a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic and member of the Chicago Film Critics Association, Critics Choice Association, and Online Film Critics Society. He covers and reviews major theatrical releases, prestige streaming titles, festival films, and arthouse cinema.

EJ Moreno – FMTV Executive Producer

EJ Moreno is a film and television critic and entertainment writer who joined the pop culture website Flickering Myth in 2018 and now serves as the executive producer of Flickering Myth TV, a YouTube channel with over 27,000 subscribers. With over a decade of experience, he is a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic who is also part of the Critics Choice Association and GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics.
