Star Wars: The Force Awakens toy line reveals return of major character?

January 6, 2015 by admin

Warning – could be spoilers ahead…

It would be fair to say that there has been a lot of speculation and rumours when it has come to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. From casting, to titles to pretty much everything in between, there hasn’t been a stone left unturned for the latest “scoop”.

Today’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens news comes from the chaps over at Rebel Scum, who have the full list of toys to coincide with the movie from Hasbro. While many of them are to be expected, there is a voice changer helmet being released that suggests we could see the return of an iconic villain…

Toy collectors who were concerned about the 2 1/2 inch figures Hasbro are producing for Avengers: Age of Ultron are not an indication of their plans for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will be the standard 3 3/4 inch.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set for release on December 18th 2015 and sees returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) joined by Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Domhnall Gleeson (Dredd), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Silent Witness), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Miltos Yerolemou (Game of Thrones), Max von Sydow (The Exorcist), Jessica Henwick (Spirit Warriors), Christina Chong (24: Live Another Day) and newcomers Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen. The Raid stars Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman are also rumoured to be featuring.
