Arnold Schwarzenegger confirms that he’ll be back for Terminator Genisys sequels

February 25, 2015 by Chris Cooper

Arnold Schwarzenegger has cleared up any confusion over whether he’ll return for the next two Terminator Genisys sequels, saying “of course” he’ll be back.

Paramount Pictures announced the release dates for the two sequels last year, but it didn’t release any casting information. In an exclusive interview with Schwarzenegger, The Arnold Fans asked whether he’d be filming Terminator 6, to which the actor confirmed, “Yes, of course, next year.”

Terminator 6 opens stateside May 19, 2017, and thanks to Schwarzenegger’s comment, we now know production will begin on it sometime next year. Terminator 7 is set to open June 29, 2018.

There’s still no confirmation on whether the rest of Terminator Genisys cast will be back for either sequel, including Emilia Clarke who plays Sarah Connor and Jai Courtney who plays Kyle Reese.

Terminator: Genisys is set for release on July 1st 2015 with Arnold Schwarzenegger leading a cast that also includes Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Jai Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard), Matt Smith (Doctor Who), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Courtney B. Vance (Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Byung-hun Lee (G.I. Joe: Retaliation), Dayo Okeniyi (The Hunger Games), Michael Gladis (Mad Men), Sandrine Holt (House of Cards) and Douglas Smith (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters).
