During a promotional interview with Collider for Marvel’s upcoming superhero adventure Ant-Man, studio chief Kevin Feige referred to the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy sequel as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and now director James Gunn has confirmed on his Facebook page that the follow-up to last year’s cosmic blockbuster is indeed going by that title.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is set for release on April 28th 2017 in the UK and on May 5th in the States. Confirmed as returning to the cast are Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Vin Diesel (Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebulda), Michael Rooker (Yondu) and Sean Gunn (Kraglin).
