Post-apocalyptic Zorro reboot Zorro Reborn resurrected

August 19, 2015 by Gary Collinson

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Lantica Media and Sobini Films are teaming up to resurrect the post-apocalyptic reboot of the pulp hero Zorro, which was previously set up at 20th Century Fox.

“This has been a 15-year journey filled with ups and downs, but it has remained my passion project over the years,” states Sobini Films CEO Mark Amin, with Lantica chief Antonio Gennari adding that: “Every generation has its own Zorro hero and we’re proud to be able to introduce a new Zorro to this generation.”

Zorro Reborn will be set in the near future in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, but will retain the traditional storyline of the masked hero taking on tyrants. A search is currently underway for a director.
