Topher Grace joins Brad Pitt’s War Machine

August 12, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Variety is reporting that Interstellar star Topher Grace has signed on to appear opposite Brad Pitt for his upcoming Netflix film War Machine.

Grace, who will soon be seen opposite Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart in American Ultra, will play a “civilian media adviser to Pitt’s four-star U.S. military general, who’s trying to win the war in Afghanistan.” The film is being directed by David Michod (The Rover) and is based on The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan, the book written by Michael Hastings.

War Machine is another high-profile original film that Netflix has purchased, after signing deals with Adam Sandler as well as snappinh up the rights to Beasts of No Nation starring Idris Elba; Kevin James’ The True Memoirs of an International Assassin and Jadotville, which stars Fifty Shades of Grey’s Jamie Dornan.
