Zack Snyder says “there’s a lot of movie” not in the Batman v Superman trailer

January 8, 2016 by Gary Collinson

When the latest trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice arrived online last month, a lot of fans expressed concerns that it gave too much away, with the preview revealing much of the plot, in addition to the DC villain Doomsday.

Well, if you were one of the concerned, then fear not as director Zack Snyder has moved to calm any fears, telling MTV that:

“I have the benefit of seeing the movie. It’s cool that they think it’s too much and I appreciate people not wanting to know, but there’s plenty that they don’t know. There’s a lot of movie that’s not in the trailer.”

Snyder also spoke briefly about Jesse Eisenberg’s portrayal of Lex Luthor, and how he came across in the trailer:

“In the trailer, of course he comes across in a very specific way. In the movie, he’s like a million times more sophisticated than what you get in 30 seconds. But that’s also the fun of it. That’s why you go to the movies, so you can actually see the context and understand the depth.”

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
