Ana de Armas joins Blade Runner 2

April 22, 2016 by Gary Collinson

As it gears up to go into production this July, casting continues on the as-yet-untitled follow-up to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi masterpiece Blade Runner, with The Wrap reporting that Ana de Armas (Knock Knock) has signed on for a role in the sequel.

“We think Ana is one of the most exciting, up-and-coming international actors in the world today, and we are thrilled she will be playing such an important part in this sequel,” states Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove of Alcon Entertainment.

The actress recently reunited with Knock Knock co-star Keanu Reeves for the crime drama Exposed, and will be seen later this year alongside Jonah Hill and Miles Teller in War Dogs, as well as appearing in the Roberto Duran biopic Hands of Stone.

The movie’s release date was recently brought forward, with the film set to open on October 6th 2017.
