Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in hitman comedy Why We’re Killing Gunther

May 4, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed on for the title role in the action comedy Why We’re Killing Gunther.

The film will mark the directorial debut of Saturday Night Live’s Taran Killam, who also writes and co-stars, and “centers on an arrogant but accomplished assassin (Schwarzenegger) whose fed-up colleagues try to take him out yet always seem to be one step behind.”

Schwarzenegger and Killam will be joined in the cast by Cobie Smulders, Bobby Moynihan, Kumail Nanjiani, Randall Park, Paul Brittain, and Ryan Gaul. Production will get underway in the summer.
