You’d be forgiven for thinking that Paranormal Sex Tape is an XXX parody of the Paranormal Activity franchise (and how that title wasn’t snapped up about five years ago is beyond me), but it’s actually a supernatural horror from writer-director Dick Van Dark, and one you’ll probably want to give a very wide berth. Based on real events that occurred in Europe in 2010. There are over 25,000 demonic possessions reported each year – many of those claim to be possessed during sexual intercourse. After a steamy night captured on video, a couple watches their sex tape – but they discover something ancient and very evil on the tape, something that’s watching them – following them – possessing them.
Paranormal Sex Tape is out now in the States but as yet there’s no word on a release date here in the UK. Expect it to pop up on the top shelf of ASDA’s bargain DVD section some time in the next couple of years.
