UPDATE: Marvel’s Jeph Loeb discusses potential spinoff series for Simone Missick’s Misty Knight

August 7, 2016 by Gary Collinson

This won’t come as much of a surprise, but September’s Luke Cage series won’t be the only time we see Simone Missick’s Misty Knight, as Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb has confirmed that the actress will be reprising the role for next year’s Iron Fist.

UPDATE: THR has now amended its article to state that Missick is actually appearing in Luke Cage, which of course we’ve already known for months. So, it remains to be seen whether she’ll also pop up in Iron Fist (although the smart money would be on yes).

Loeb also discussed the possibility of a Misty Knight spinoff series, a la The Punisher, stating that: “We certainly have plans for all of our characters. A lot of it has to do with exactly how many shows Netflix is actually going to let us make. We’re up to six now. At a certain point, we have to be careful that we’re not becoming the Marvel channel on Netflix.”

Missick will make her debut as Misty Knight in Luke Cage, which hits Netflix on Friday, September 30th. Watch the trailer here.
