Star Wars Battlefront 2 set for release in the fall of 2017

November 4, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Earlier this year it was announced by EA that a sequel to the mulitplayer shooter Star Wars Battlefront is in development, and would come out “next year”.

Well, speaking on an investor conference call, EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen has revealed that Star Wars Battlefront 2 will arrive “a year from now” – just in time to capitalise on the excitement over Star Wars: Episode VIII – and that “we’re working very hard on making sure that it’s an extremely deep and engaging offering.”

Although details on Battlefront 2 are being kept tightly under wraps, Jorgensen has previously revealed that the game will feature content from the Sequel Trilogy, unlike its predecessor, which was firmly rooted in the Original Trilogy-era.

Are you excited for Star Wars Battlefront 2, and what would you like to see in the game? Let us know in the comments below…
