The Dark Knight and Ant-Man actor to play Abra Kadabra in The Flash

March 7, 2017 by Amie Cranswick

The official DC Comics website has announced that David Dastmalchian (The Dark Knight, Gotham, Ant-Man) has signed on to play the classic comic book villain Abra Kadabra in an upcoming episode of The Flash season three.

The CW version of the character is described as “a criminal from a distant future whose advanced technological powers seem like magic” and it is said that he “holds a secret the Flash will stop at nothing to uncover.

Abra Kadabra made his DC Comics debut in 1962’s The Flash #128, and in comic book continuity he is a stage magician from the 64th century who travels back in time in search of fame and fortune. He also played a key role in the recent Rebirth storyline, having been responsible for Wally West’s disappearance from the DC universe.
