Voice cast and story details for Batman and Harley Quinn animated movie revealed

April 4, 2017 by Gary Collinson

DC animation legend Bruce Timm is set to return to the world of the Dark Knight this summer with the DC Universe Animated Original Movie Batman and Harley Quinn, and thanks to Empire we’ve got a brief synopsis for the film, along with details of the voice cast.

The site reports that Batman and Harley Quinn features “the reluctant team-up of Batman, Nightwing and Harley Quinn to try and stop a global catastrophe caused by Poison Ivy and Jason Woodrue, AKA the Plant-Master.”

Batman: The Animated Series’ Kevin Conroy and Loren Lester will reprise their roles as Batman and Nightwing respectively, while The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch is taking on the role of Harley Quinn. Also featuring in the cast are Paget Brewster as Poison Ivy, John DiMaggio as Swamp Thing, and Eric Bauza, Rob Paulsen, Mindy Sterling, Robin Atkin Downes and Trevor Devall.

“I love that Harley is a badass and, beyond that, that she uses her humor as another weapon in her arsenal,” said Rauch. “She knows just how to diffuse a situation with her humor, and how to incite a situation with her sarcasm. It’s a dream role.

Batman and Harley Quinn is set to arrive this summer.
