Jared Leto plays coy on whether The Joker will appear in Gotham City Sirens, praises Wonder Woman

June 24, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Among the many projects on Warner Bros.’ DC slate is the Suicide Squad spinoff Gotham City Sirens, which will reunite director David Ayer with Margot Robbie’s Harleen Quinzel.

Given the ending of Suicide Squad, it would make sense that Harley will be joined in the reunion by The Joker, although Jared Leto wasn’t giving anything away when asked by Entertainment Tonight if he’ll be back as the Clown Prince of Crime:

“I have no idea,” said Leto, “Y’know, I can’t confirm — maybe I know — but I can’t confirm or deny. There are a lot of moving parts for that stuff, and we’ll see what happens next.”

Leto also shared some praise for the most recent DCEU instalment Wonder Woman, stating that: “I thought it was incredible. They did such a good job. I watched Wonder Woman as a kid, I really enjoyed it. I was on the road with my band, 30 Seconds to Mars, and we rented out a theater, and brought the whole crew, and it was really fun. All of us enjoyed it.”

As yet, Gotham City Sirens is without a release date, nor is there any word as to when it might begin production. But do let us know in the comments below if you want to see Leto’s Joker returning for the female-led spinoff…
