According to Variety, Moonlight star Ashton Sanders is in talks to join the cast of Sony Pictures’ upcoming action sequel The Equalizer 2.
The sequel will reunite director Antoine Fuqua, writer Richard Wenk and star Denzel Washington, while Melissa Leo and Bill Pullman are also confirmed as reprising their roles from the first movie. Former Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal is also set to portray the film’s antagonist.
Production on The Equalizer 2 is set to get underway next month in Boston, with the movie scheduled to hit cinemas on September 14th 2018.
