Nick Jonas cast in Chaos Walking alongside Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley

August 10, 2017 by Ricky Church

Nick Jonas of The Jonas Brothers has another role set for his growing acting career. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer/actor has been cast in Doug Liman’s Chaos Walking opposite Spider-Man: Homecoming’s Tom Holland and Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Daisy Ridley.

Chaos Walking is based on the YA novel by Patrick Ness and takes place on a colony planet where a virus has killed nearly all the women on New World and allows everyone to see into each other’s thoughts. This ability drives most mad, but Holland’s character discovers a young woman, played by Ridley, who may be the key to saving the world. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’s Mads Mikkelsen will play the film’s villain.

Jonas will portray “Davy Prentiss Jr., a young soldier in Mayor Prentiss’ army fueled by jealousy over his father’s (Mikkelson) mentorship of longtime rival Todd Hewitt (Holland).”

Lionsgate has set the film for release on March 1st, 2019.
