“No discussions” for another season of Twin Peaks, according to Kyle MacLachlan

September 5, 2017 by Samuel Brace

There have been “no discussions” for another season of Twin Peaks according to the show’s star Kyle MacLachlan.

Twin Peaks: The Return just finished up its run this past Sunday, shocking and bewildering fans yet again after 25 years since the original series came to an end.

Part one of the two episode finale seemed to be wrapping things up nicely for the show but with the final episode asking more questions and ending on a near cliff-hanger, audiences are wondering if the show will be coming back to resolve the show’s stories.

This is seemingly unlikely, however, at least in the near future, as Kyle MacLachlan who stars as Cooper in the series has revealed to Deadline that there haven’t been any discussions about bringing Twin Peaks back for more.

“Well, I know for a fact there are no discussions for more Twin Peaks,” says MacLachlan. “That’s where that is.”

SEE ALSO: Twin Peaks season 3 is exquisite, but why am I so unenthused by it?

There seems to be no room for ambiguity there from the actor, and this is news that might frustrate some considering the finale’s unresolved nature.

However, audiences know what they are getting into with David Lynch, so many likely wouldn’t have it any other way.
