Ubisoft launches Assassin’s Creed Origins Photo Mode competition

December 7, 2017 by Emma Withington

It’s time to rekindle that obsession with Assassin’s Creed Origins’ Photo Mode. That’s right, it’s competition time! Running from today until January 10th 2018 the Assassin’s Creed Origins team will give you budding in-game photographers a weekly theme – this week it’s ‘The Wildlife of Egypt’. I saw this as an opportunity to inflict upon the world my ‘snelfie’.

Yes…Good luck to me…

You will need to submit a photo based on the theme for prestige and prizes, and as it’s weekly you’ll get a few opportunities to take a stab at it. Five winners will be chosen each week with runner-ups receiving a season pass code or, if you already own the pass, an official Assassin’s Creed shirt. The winner? Will be bestowed with the same prizes, a high-quality printed version of your photo from online art dealership Cook & Becker, and a spot on the wall at Ubisoft Montreal.

To enter and catch the weekly theme visit the community contest page, and check out the Official Photo Mode website to size up the competition or gain inspiration.

With more than 20 million pictures taken, the in-game photo mode feature in Assassin’s Creed Origins provides players with a unique way to capture the beauty of their journey across Ancient Egypt and share their best memories with friends and the community. Photo mode also offers many options to create unique photos, with 17 distinct filters and range of parameters to play with, such as exposure, vignetting, colour temperature, tint, saturation and noise.
