First trailer for Patrick Melrose starring Benedict Cumberbatch

The first trailer for the upcoming Sky series Patrick Melrose has been released. Benedict Cumberbatch stars in the series as the title character in an adaptation of Edward St. Aubyn’s novels on the rich socialite. Check out the trailer below…

The five-part series has been penned by David Nicholls (One Day) and each episode will be based on one of St Aubyn’s novels, taking place in the south of France in the 1960s, New York in the 1980s and Britain in the early 2000s. Cumberbatch stars as the aristocratic playboy alongside Hugo Weaving, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Anna Madeley, Allison Williams and Blythe Danner.

Patrick Melrose is slated to air later this year.
