The Russo brothers happy to work with Marvel again after Avengers 4

January 25, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, have said that they would be open to working with Marvel again in the future.

The MCU as we know it set to come to a quasi-conclusion with next two Avengers movies, and despite filming for a year straight on what promises to be the biggest Marvel extravaganza in history, the Russo brothers don’t seem to be running for hills.

Speaking to the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the two brothers were asked if Avengers 4 will be the end of their run directing films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe:

“Our relationship with Marvel has been one of the strongest creative relationships we’ve had in our careers. We’re really proud of the movies that we’ve been able to make with them and we’ve had an amazing time doing it. We haven’t talked about doing anything beyond these movies simply because we still have a mountain to climb with these two films.

“The one thing we’ve always really admired about Kevin Feige and Marvel is they have a very, even though they’re building an interconnected narrative through many, many films over many years, they have a very disciplined one movie at a time attitude, as well, which I think is very very helpful to the creative process of fashioning the individual film. So we’re basically really focused on what we’re doing now, but we would certainly be open to working with them.”

That’s certainly good news for fans of their work so far, but audiences will be keen to see how well they handle such a big upcoming moment in MCU history.
