A Quiet Place writers have sequel ideas for the hit horror movie

April 10, 2018 by Samuel Brace

The writers behind A Quiet Place have revealed that they already have ideas for a sequel.

A Quiet Place has proved to be a big hit at the box office, pulling in $50 million during its opening weekend after already delighting critics. The film starring John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt, also directed by Krasinski, tells the tale of family trying to survive a horrifying dystopian future.

With the film’s huge success, it seems like a sequel will be in discussion and the writers behind the movie, Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, have revealed they are ready to go with ideas for more movies in the universe should they be asked.

“It’s such a fun world,” Woods told Fandango during a recent interview. “There are so many things you could do.” Also mentioning that a sequel could focus on another family stuck in a similar situation.

“There are so many discarded set pieces, too, just hiding out on Word documents on our computer,” says Beck. “So, yeah, there are certainly so many stories you could tell. It’s just really, at the end of the day, who are the characters in this and what does this situation mean to that dynamic?”

Are you up for more films in the A Quiet Place universe? Or would you prefer they just stuck to one film?
