Chris Pratt assures fans that Avengers 4 “has your back”

June 20, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Chris Pratt has promised fans of the franchise that Avengers 4 “has your back” and also comments on the cast for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3.

Thanks to the colossal success of Avengers: Infinity War, the sequel, Avengers 4, is already a hugely anticipated event, with audiences excited (and nervous) to see just what will happen following the recent dramatic events.

Chris Pratt’s character, Star-Lord, is himself in a rather precarious position (being erased from existence by Thanos), but during a recent interview with MTV (ComicBook.com), the actor assured fans that Avengers 4 won’t let them down:

“My call time [for Avengers 4]? Don’t have one, so pretty cool,” Pratt said. “You don’t want to ask too much because you don’t want to poke inside the gift that’s under the tree. Just wait, you’ll see. Just wait, you’ll see. We got your back, baby.”

Regarding Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, the cast is looking pretty thin right now thanks to the team being mostly decimated during Infinity War. Pratt, however, jokingly responded to who might be involved:

“They’ve cast the Blue Man Group. It’s gonna be all Blue Man Group! Oh, I’m not supposed to say anything! Everyone’s gonna be mad! It’s the Blue Man Group. It’s an Andy Griffith hologram. They’re the new Guardians. It’s gonna be amazing.”

The future of the MCU is certainly mysterious right now and until we see Avengers 4, we can probably expect a lot more jokes and vague responses regarding what’s to come and how certain characters might remain involved in proceedings.
