Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska are the new Charlie’s Angels

July 27, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Sony’s big screen reboot of Charlie’s Angels has found its three Angels, with British newcomer Ella Balinska (Midsomer Murders) joining the previously announced Kristen Stewart (Personal Shopper) and Naomi Scott (Power Rangers).

“Charlie’s Angels, for me, is one of the original brands to celebrate the empowered woman since its debut in the ’70s,” Banks. “This film honors the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels. I couldn’t be more excited to work with Kristen, Naomi and Ella to bring this chapter to fans around the world.”

The new movie will take the Townsend Agency global as a worldwide security and intelligence service, and follows the new generation of Angels. Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 2) is directing and has written the script with Jay Basu (The Girl in the Spider’s Web). Banks will also star as Bosley, the only Townsend Agency employee ever to have met the enigmatic Charlie.

Charlie’s Angels is set for release on September 27th 2019.
