Lamorne Morris joins Vin Diesel in Bloodshot

Deadline is reporting that Lamorne Morris (New Girl, Game Night) has joined the cast of Sony’s Valiant comic book adaptation Bloodshot, where he will portray Wilfred Wigans, a scientist who becomes an unlikely ally to Vin Diesel’s Bloodshot.

Bloodshot is being directed by visual effects supervisor Dave Wilson (Avengers: Age of Ultron) and sees Diesel portraying Ray Garrison, a mortally wounded soldier who finds himself resurrected using nanotechnology and given the task of hunting down superpowered outcasts known as harbingers.

Also featuring in the cast are Toby Kebbell (Fantastic Four), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), Michael Sheen (Passengers), Sam Heughan (Outlander), Talulah Riley (Westworld), Johannes Haukur Johannesson (Game of Thrones) and Alex Hernandez (UnReal).

Bloodshot is set for release on February 21st 2020.
