Kate Bosworth to produce and star in sci-fi thriller Genesis

According to Deadline, actress Kate Bosworth has signed on to star in the sci-fi thriller Genesis, where she will play a mother searching for her daughter in a post-apocalyptic world.

In addition to starring, Bosworth is also set to executive produce the film through her Make Pictures Productions banner, while Mike Le Han (Hellraiser: Origins) will direct from a script by Brian Michael Scully.

Bosworth recently signed on to produce and star in The I-Land, an original Netflix series from Neil LaBute (Van Helsing), while she also remains attached to Tate, a biopic of murdered actress Sharon Tate which is to be directed by her husband Michael Polish (90 Minutes in Heaven).
