Venom home-entertainment release will feature extended post-credits scene

November 9, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Warning. Spoilers for Venom’s post-credit scene follows…

It may be separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Sony’s Venom took a leaf out of the MCU playbook with regards to post credits scenes, with the film featuring a stinger that set up the introduction of fan favourite villain Carnage in the inevitable sequel.

In said scene, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock takes a trip to San Quentin prison to interview the infamous serial killer Cletus Kasady, played by Woody Harrelson, who promises to unleash “carnage” once he escapes custody. And it seems we won’t have to wait for Venom 2 to get another glimpse at Harrelson’s Kasady, as Trailer Track’s Anton Volkov has shared a list of the home-entertainment bonus features for Venom, which includes an extended 3-minute version of the post-credit scene:

Aside from the extended post-credit scene, Sony seems to have put together a decent selection of bonus features for the home-entertainment release, with another couple of deleted scenes, pre-vis sequences, music videos, and over 50 minutes of featurettes.

One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.

Venom is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) and features a cast that includes Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, Woody Harrelson, Jenny Slate, Reid Scott, Scott Haze, Sope Aluko and Ron Cephas Jones.
