Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba in first-look image from Bad Boys spin-off L.A.’s Finest

December 21, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Entertainment Weekly has unveiled a first look image from L.A.’s Finest, the upcoming Bad Boys TV spinoff, which sees Gabrielle Union reprising her role as Syd Burnett alongside Jessica Alba as LAPD detective Nancy McKenna.

L.A.’s Finest follows Syd Burnett (Union), last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, who has left her complicated past behind to become an LAPD detective. Paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Alba), a working mom with an equally complex past, Syd is pushed to examine whether her unapologetic lifestyle might be masking a greater personal secret. These two women don’t agree on much, but they find common ground when it comes to taking on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles in this character-driven drama.

Also starring in the series are Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) as Joseph Burnett, Zack Gilford (Good Girls) as Ben Walker, Duane Martin (The Paul Reiser Show) as Ben Baines and Ryan McPartlin (Chuck) as Patrick McKenna.

L.A.’s Finest is set to premiere on the Spectrum network in 2019.
