Ubisoft unveils Gods and Monsters at E3

June 11, 2019 by Andy Naylor

Ubisoft showcased a very interesting game yesterday, Gods and Monsters, which looks to be jam-packed with Greek Mythology and looks a hell of a lot like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is no bad thing! Check the trailer out:

Marc-Alexis Côté, senior producer at Ubisoft Quebec said how the idea for the game came to fruition, “Over the last 10 years, I have had the chance to be part of an incredible team that has pushed the limits of Assassin’s Creed to explore historical periods from a unique angle. But our imagination has always been bound to the reality of the history books. Through our work on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey these past four years, our minds have lingered on another aspect of our history – mythology. Today, with Gods & Monsters, the tales we all love and know so well become a reality to be explored like never before,”

This beautiful, open-world adventure looks to be one of the most intriguing reveals of E3 and although it has a long way to go to even compare to how good Breath of the Wild was, to be even compared against it in the first place if high praise indeed and I look forward to more details for it emerging before its release date next year.

Gods and Monsters is out 25th February 2020 on PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, Nintendo Switch and PC.
