Hulu renews The Handmaid’s Tale for season 4

July 28, 2019 by Gary Collinson

During its Television Critics Association panel, streaming service Hulu has announced that it has renewed its acclaimed drama series The Handmaid’s Tale for a fourth season.

Based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid’s Tale takes place in a dystopian future following a Second American Civil War, in a society where woman are only valued for their fertility.

The Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series sees Elisabeth Moss leading the cast as June, a ‘Handmaid’ indentured into child-bearing servitude. The third season of the show is currently airing on Hulu, while season four is expected in 2020.
