Birds of Prey trailer classified and expected to arrive alongside It Chapter Two

August 30, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Although we got a behind-the-scenes cast promo when production first began earlier this year, Warner Bros. is yet to really kick of the marketing campaign for the next chapter in the DC Extended Universe, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).

However, it seems that is about to change, as Trailer Track is reporting that German ratings board FSK has now classified the first trailer for the Margot Robbie-headlined DC girl gang movie, and it is expected to be attached to the theatrical release of Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema’s It Chapter Two.

SEE ALSO: Birds of Prey is a “standalone story” rather than a Suicide Squad follow-up

While the release is unconfirmed, it would certainly make sense for WB to drop the trailer for the R-rated comic book adaptation alongside the It sequel, given that Chapter Two is expected to do bumper business at the box office when it opens next week.

Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs) is directing Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) from a script by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee) with Margot Robbie reprising her Suicide Squad role as Harley Quinn alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Fargo) as The Huntress, Jurnee Smolett-Bell (Underground) as Black Canary, Rosie Perez (Fearless) as Renee Montoya, Ella Jay Basco (Grey’s Anatomy) as Cassandra Cain, Ewan McGregor (Christopher Robin) as Black Mask, Chris Messina (Sharp Objects) as Victor Zsasz, Ali Wong (Black Box), Robert Catrini (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back), Steven Williams (The Chi), Dana Lee (Dr. Ken), Francois Chau (The Expanse, The Tick) and Matthew Willig (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs). It is set for release on February 7th 2020.
