Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon working on new horror film for Blumhouse

August 8, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Christopher Landon is set to write and direct a new horror thriller film for Blumhouse Productions with Jason Blum producing.

Unfortunately, this is the only news about the film so far as Discussing Film have reported, “plot details are vague but sources say that it will focus on a killer who wreaks havoc in a small town.”

Christopher Landon is most known for writing the screenplays for the second, third and fourth instalments in the Paranormal Activity franchise, as well as writing and directing the fifth Paranormal Activity film. He also wrote and directed Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse and most recently directed both entries in the Happy Death Day franchise.

However, despite rumours, Landon confirmed recently that there is no Happy Death Day 3 in development and most likely wonn’t finish the trilogy.

With the success of Happy Death Day and its unique take on the slasher side of horror, I am intrigued as to the project Landon is moving onto next in collaboration with Jason Blum. What are your thoughts on Landon making a new horror film for Blumhouse? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @flickeringmyth…
